        At 6.30 a.m. of 11th July 2008 near Belgrade a road accident of a Polish coach with 66 Polish tourists on their way from Bulgaria took place. The accident happened near the town of Indija, 20 km from Belgrade. According to the recent reports, 6 persons died, including 2 children, and 9 persons have been seriously injured.  [more]

        On 12th July 2008 the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Radosław Sikorski, visited the Federal Republic of Germany. The visit schedule included a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Frank Walter Steinmeier. The ministers discussed the main objectives to be achieved by the end of 2008 in terms of Polish-German relations as well as selected EU and international affairs. [more]

NEW CONSULAR FEES

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh kindly informs that on 7 April 2008, new consular fees will be introduced as a result of EUR/GBP exchange rate changes, in line with the Minister of Foreign Affairs' regulation on the consular fees (Journal of Law No. 156, item 1530 of 5 September 2003)



ANNOUNCEMENT on SCHENGEN VISA

Due to significant increase in the number of visa applications, process of issuing the visa takes about 20 working days.



SCHENGEN AREA 

On 21st December 2007 Poland, together with 8 other new EU Member States, will join the Schengen area - a territory with no checks at internal borders formed by 24 States[1]. These States apply uniform rules concerning entry and short stays in their territories (more information in VISA SECTION)
